Presenting a new real-time monitoring innovation for the remote management and distribution of labile blood products with GPI France and B Medical Systems
Together with its partners GPI France and B Medical Systems, SATO Europe will present a new solution designed to ensure real-time and remote management and distribution of blood products to hospitalized patients, as well as to facilitate accurate identification and comprehensive data traceability of labile blood products.
This jointly developed solution strengthens patient safety by enhancing continuous monitoring throughout the cold chain, reducing risks linked to temperature deviations, and optimising workflows within transfusion services. It responds to hospitals’ growing need for greater visibility, control, and reliability in blood product management.
Kevin Allart, President of SATO Healthcare Co., Ltd., highlights the significance of this development: “This new innovation reflects our vision of a safer, more connected healthcare environment focused on transfusion quality. By combining our PJM RFID technologies with the expertise of GPI and B Medical Systems, we deliver a concrete, measurable and immediately operational solution for healthcare professionals.”
Representing GPI France, Michel Angue, Sales Manager, emphasises the added value for healthcare providers: “Our collaboration with SATO and B Medical Systems enables us to offer healthcare institutions a powerful and integrated solution for improving the management of blood products. Supporting transfusion services with reliable, real-time information is essential, and this innovation makes a tangible difference in daily operations.”
From B Medical Systems, Kévin Laville, Global Business Development, underlines the importance of safeguarding the cold chain: “Ensuring the integrity of blood products throughout the cold chain is a fundamental mission. Working alongside SATO and GPI allows us to combine our expertise in medical refrigeration with advanced traceability and monitoring technologies, bringing hospitals a comprehensive and future-ready approach to transfusion safety.”
Demonstrating the value of SATO PJM RFID technology
SATO Europe will also highlight its PJM RFID technology, integrated within the solution platform, recognised worldwide for exceptional accuracy, ultra-fast item identification and reliability in critical medical environments. This expertise reinforces the robustness of the joint innovation and supports the adoption of a comprehensive and interoperable vein-to-vein traceability approach.
Presence on booth and participation in a dedicated symposium
SATO Europe will be represented on-site by Florent Laloux, who will be available on the GPI France booth n°10 to discuss RFID applications in transfusion workflows.
SATO will also take part in a dedicated symposium, where the new innovation and its integration within an advanced traceability ecosystem will be presented.
